What I Wore - Hi-Lo, Maxi & Summer Hair Up

I'm back with another Perth Curvettes Summer Style challenge. I mentioned that Alex and I smashed out some outfit shots last week. I really love playing dress ups!

Alex also braided my hair for this challenge...I hardly wear my hair up. Not because I don't like it up, just I'm so terrible at doing hair. 

Alex also put this outfit together. I'm still not 100% certain I like this skirt...I like the colour, style, etc...I'm just not used to wearing light colours on the bottom, and I think it will take a bit of getting used too. I also wish I had changed shoes...I think my black Wittner clogs would have looked better...but anyway...

I just think that dark on top and light on bottom looks a bit funny. If the colours were switch I would totally dig this outfit. I think I need to get over that. I mean, it's a great outfit.

Life Lately

I haven't done one of these posts for AGES! Life has been totally crazy these last few months. We moved up to my folks house just before Christmas, all our stuff went into storage. But we are finally moved in, and pretty much settled in our new home. Just gotta move my office home this weekend, and I'm pretty set. 

Here are some snaps from the last few weeks.

I went out to lunch on Saturday. I had pork belly to start

and duck for main. I had already tucked in when I took the photo. And I forgot to take one of my dessert. 

Jesse and I had both our families over on Monday to celebrate our new home. I wore this dress (blog post coming soon!)

So that's what's been happening. Once I get my office set up, I might do a bit of a new house tour...maybe. 

What I Wore - Summer Errands

The lovely Alex of The Black Chiffon came over on Friday to give me a hand culling my wardrobe (2 big boxes of things ready for Market Plus on Sunday!!) and while she was there, we snapped a few outfit shots. 

I was already wearing this outfit, because it's comfortable, and easy to run around in, especially in the heat. 

Whenever I wear all black, I like to have a pop of colour with my shoes. 

It's so great having another blogger take your photos. They're patient, and know what you are looking for. I think the Perth Curvettes need to play dress ups a lot, and take each others photos!

What I Wore - Cool 'n' Casual

I've got another Perth Curvettes Summer Style outfit for you today. This outfit has become a real staple of mine. I feel really good in it. It's breezy, and casual, and can totally take you shopping, or out to lunch. 

I had been umming and ahhing over this skirt for a while, but I'm not sure why, and I'm really glad that I got it. It goes with everything, and can be dressed up or down. I only wish they had some other colours, a bright pink one wouldn't go astray!

I picked these shoes up in nude right before Christmas. That was daring, I never wear nude/tan/brown shoes, I just don't. But, for $12 I thought I was try. I have worn those so much since buying them, and they are such comfy little sandals, that I couldn't resist picking up the black pair as well. I love that the toe buckle is adjustable, so my wide little tootsies fit just nicely.

Aussie Curves - Double Take

Sorry again for the blogging break. I got sick at the end of last week, and still have no internet at home. I know, excuses excuses. But, I am back today with this weeks Aussie Curves theme - double take. For this weeks theme, I have taken a simple black dress, and styled it 2 ways - one casual and one more glam. I am trying very hard not to collapse in a puddle on snot in these photos, so please excuse their awful quality!

I would probably wear this to the office, or out shopping. I am totally loving this Hope & Harvest wrap. I won it in a Christmas giveaway they were having, and it is so versatile!

Throw on a statement necklace and some heels and this dress is totally transformed. I added a sparkley belt, just because I could!

My gorgeous secret Santa got me the necklace I'm wearing. It's not the style I would normally pick, but I totally love it.
