Life, Lately

I haven't done one of these posts for ages! It's not that there hasn't been a lot going on, it's just that a lot of it has been work. I've changed my days/hours again to be able to have Monday's off with Jesse, so that's been a bit of a transition, but it's all running smoothly and working well.

Mum's puppy Jemima gets so excited whenever I'm around. She wanted a snooze on my lap, and decided this was the most comfortable position.

I nearly bought this. But, went with the far more conservative 400g option.

Jesse messaged me on Sunday morning (right after I'd decided what to make for dinner) and said he really fancied ribs. It wasn't what I had decided on, but I never pass up an opportunity to eat ribs. So good.

Yesterdays OOTD. We went to hang out and drink Riesling with some friends. I scored this belt at Kmart. It came in a 2 pack with a black one as well, for something ridiculous like $9.

This weeks starts the beginning of a very exciting couple of weeks. It's Jesse birthday, my birthday, new tattoo time, and I'm having a couple of days off next week. Plus birthday parties, dinners, catch ups. I'm very excited about it. And I'm totally wearing my tutu dress. 

Aussie Curves - Maxi Dress

I actually thought ahead this week! I decided to wear my maxi dress during the week, and I actually remembered to get some photos while I was wearing it. 

 I saw this dress on ASOS in November, and I placed an order for it, and then changed my mind and cancelled it. The more I thought about it, the more I regretted it, and went back to reorder it. But, of course by that time, my size had sold out. I kept my eye out for other maxi dresses, but none of them did it for me.

Luckily, when I was shopping the sales just after christmas, it had come back in stock. I wasted no time adding it to my cart, and I was so glad that I bought it. 

Of course, it was about 6 inchs too long, and I had to get the hem taken up, but I've worn it quite a lot over the summer. It's very comfortable, and I love the colour.

Things I Love Thursday

Time must be running super fast. I have no idea how it came to be Thursday already! And that it's my birthday in exactly 2 weeks! 

Jesse and I went to see Jurassic Park 3D on Monday night. It was so awesome. The 3D made the film so much cooler. I really want to go and watch it again :) And last night we caught up with some friends at their new place, and I'm working late tonight. I tell you, I'm looking forward to spending Friday night curled up on the couch!

It's mostly shoes that I've found this week. I can't stop looking at boots. I love them. I'm trying to decide it I should buy a pair of knee highs from Autograph I've seen. I've always wanted a pair, but now, I just don't know if I would wear them.

I think I mentioned a few posts ago, that I've only just gotten on the legging trend. They are soooo comfortable. I found this website that has AWESOME plus size leggings. And shipping to Aus is only $16. Which I think is pretty reasonable. I'm going to be placing an order very soon!

I ordered a pair of lita type boots, and they've sent me the wrong colour. Not even a wrong colour that I would wear anyway...they sent me brown. gross. I don't do brown. I might have to get the above ones to make up for it.

Oh, also I finished reading Hot & Heavy. I REALLY loved it. I could relate to quite a few of the stories in there. I've started a cowboy romance (I have a soft spot for these books) to read as a filler while I'm waiting for some books from Amazon to arrive :)

Aussie Curves - Androgynous

Whenever I think of androgynous, for some reason I think of black and white. I really struggled with this challenge. I much prefer dresses and skirts, over shirts and pants. In fact, I no longer own any button up shirts or blouses. But, I think I did alright :)

I tried on HEAPS of things before I settled on this. I'm still not 100%, but it's ok :)

Aussie Curves - Belts

I've only recently started wearing belts. Apart from wearing them to hold up my jeans, I've never really been a big belt wearer. But, I've got a bit of a collection happening now, and I find myself wearing them much more often. 

This belt is actually a new one. I had some time to kill yesterday morning waiting for the bank to open, so I was wandering around Kmart. As well as picking up a bag I'd had my eye on (reduced to $5!) I also spotted this belt. I like that it's kinda plain, but still has the tiny studs.

I bought this dress from New look, it came in a 2 pack with a plain navy one. I really like it. It's just casual and comfortable.

Things I Love Thursday

It's Thursday already! Yay for short weeks!

Jesse and I went to see Warm Bodies last night, with free tickets that I won. I really enjoyed it. It's totally my type of film. It's got zombies, comedy and romance. What's not to love?

30 by 30/Reading List Update

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! I did. I managed to stay home 3 out of the 4 days, which was bliss. I watched a lot of Law & Order, ate a lot of food, did a lot of housework. Lovely. Monday, we caught up with Jesse, and my families, and it was a fantastic day!

It's only about 3 weeks until my birthday (yay!!), and I have ticked a whole 3 items off my '30 by 30' list. That means I have 1 year and 3 weeks to tick off the other 27 things. But, that's ok. I'll get there. 

For instance, one of the things is 'Read at 15 new books' I've just started my 9th new book, so I'm working on it.
