What I Wore - Perth Curvettes Glam Night Out (Otherwise known as the Duck Massacre of 2013)

The most valuable thing, for me, to have come out of the Aussie Curves group I am a member of, is meeting some of the other Perth members. In these girls, I have found some amazing friends. Some like minded, kind, loving girls who I am proud to call my friends. We decided we needed to catch up for some Christmas drinks, and although one of our group was missing (stupid illness!) we still had an awesome time.

I had so much fun dressing for this occasion. I even did my hair, which was a total fluke. I'm terrible at hair!

There is something about wearing a dress with a huge petticoat underneath that makes you feel ultra feminine.

The next day, I found the perfect pair of shoes for this dress. Oh well, I'll get to wear them next time. This dress was another Christmas present from Jesse.

I managed to scam (read, asked really nicely) a lift down to Crown Perth from my Dad, where I met up with Sarah (Fatshioning It Up) Alex (The Black Chiffon) and Natalie. We sipped cocktails in the Champagne bar, before heading to dinner. Photos stolen from Sarah (with her permission!)

Before we'd even been shown to our table, Alex was off to get Peking duck. It was always our plan to eat all the Peking duck they had on offer. I'm not sure we ate all of it, but a LOT of duck was eaten. Among other things. We ate until we physically couldn't eat any more. And it was the most fun night.

I affectionately refer to these girls as my fat group. And where ever we go, we are rallying for fat girls everywhere, we are showing everyone it's possible to be fattastic. Because, I mean look at us, we are a bunch of freaking hot fat girls.

Aussie Curves - Christmas Day

Hello! I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas. I certainly did. We spread Christmas out over 2 days, Christmas day was spent with Jesse's family, and Boxing Day with mine. It means I get two Christmas lunches! And, also two Christmas outfits!! I didn't really take that many outfit shots, so I've just grabbed some photos taken of me over the two days for this post.

This is the outfit I wore on Christmas day. It was a Christmas present from my parents (or Penny & Jon as they wrote on the label). It was featured on my Christmas list, so I'm super happy that I got it. It is so comfortable, and I felt good it it all day.

Dress - City Chic
shoes - Kmart

My boxing day dress was a Christmas present from Jesse. It is covered in roadside attractions. Again, I felt so comfortable all day in this dress (plus it has dinosaurs on it!)

Dress - ModCloth

So, there you have it, my 2 Christmas dresses. How was your Christmas? Did you have fun? Score some good loot?

Don't forget to check out the other ladies joining in on the bloghop!

Things I Love Thursday

I haven't done a Things I Love Thursday post forever! I actually had some time to look at the Internet this week. Here is what I found

Via Simply Be

I'm totally loving this '20s inspired dress from Simply Be. I want to wear this to the glam night that I'm having with some other outrageously gorgeous Perth bloggers. And I would, if I owned it!

Via ASOS

Can someone please explain to me why this Dachshund print dress does not come in fat sizes?

Via ASOS

Totally love this jumper. If it wasn't summer, I would buy it.

Via Wittner

I just received my very first pair of Wittner shoes. I am in love. It's terribly hard to find really good quality leather shoes, that are affordable, and that also fit my wide feet. But, Alex from The Black Chiffon swore black and blue that Wittner were the way to go. She was right, as usual! These are next on my list.  Sometimes, it's easy to disregard shopping in places that don't necessarily cater to wide variety of sizes. But, I have to remember that trying things on is super necessary, because you just never know. I got so sick of shoes never fitting, that I stuck to what I knew, and I was happily wrong about Wittner!

Sparkly boots!!

This little guy is so cute! I want to take him home.

Hells yeah, sausage dog toast. This is a need.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Thursdays. After today I'm on holidays! Very much looking forward to that!!

What I Wore - Edgy Harness Maxi

Wow! What a crazy 2 days that was for me. We spent all day Sunday and Monday moving, and the temperature made it to 40 degrees! I was ever so thankful for my folks pool! But, we are pretty much settled at their house (still a few things to shift around). I had to put almost all my clothes into storage, but, I received a Forever21 order at the end of last week, so I'm happy!

I totally love this dress. It's just so much more than a black maxi

It's actually like a short body con jersey dress, with a long chiffon overlay skirt. It's so cool and comfortable to wear.

I especially love the harness back. It's thick elastic and surprisingly comfortable. Also, can I just mention how amazing the City Chic strapless bras are? Holy wow, I have never been able to wear a strapless bra, comfortably, for an entire day before.

This dress is sure to make quite a few apperances this summer. I can easily dress it up with belt and some heels, or keep it casual like today.

Dress - Forever21+
Shoes - Target (2012)

you can kind of see the see through skirt here

I am very much looking forward to some time off over the holidays. I'm planning on studying, and swimming. And that's about it!

What I Wore - NOPE

My Forever21+ order arrived yesterday! It was highly anticipated, and I love everything that I ordered!!

These shorts! They were a sale item, and then I got 50% off the sale items, so they ended up costing me about $7. I'm going to order more. They fit perfectly, and are soft and comfortable. And, I think they look fantastic.

When I saw this top pop up on the site, I knew that I had to have it. I just think it's great.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! Spare a thought for me, I'll be moving. In 40 degree heat. And on that note, I'm off for a swim!
