Fat Bitch eCourse catch up

Wow, I am so behind on these posts! This is going to be a mega catch up!

So, the topics I'm catching up on are

Loving Your Body

I've spoken about this quite a lot before (Here, here). Loving your body, doesn't just happen over night. It's hard to start loving something you've been taught to hate, or that people tell you, you should hate. But, fuck 'em. There is beauty in every body. I find beauty in my own body every day. Whether is my cushiony stomach that my little pup likes to snuggle in to, or the way my hips look in a super tight skirt. Look at yourself lots, take lots of photos, and look at them. You will start to see the beauty in your body, and you will start to love it.

Get Involved

I'm not really sure how involved I am, I mean this blog is a body positive space, I donate to body positive causes, read other body positive blogs. I guess I like to think that my little contribution makes a difference!

Haters Gonna Hate

Ain't that the truth. No matter what you do, someone is going to hate on it. This isn't just about fat people, or fat people being visible, happy, and loving what they've got. It is about everything. Some people are so terribly jealous, and uphappy, they project that on to you. A little while a go, I made a post about not hating my arms, and a family member took it upon herself to tell me that being fat was clearly eating me up inside, otherwise I wouldn't write about it all the time, started also attacking my brothers, and my parents. Needless to say, I cut that hater out of my life, I don't need her to project her shit on to me. But, don't let them get you down! Keep doing what you're doing. For every hater, there are HEAPS of cheerleaders! Tell the haters where to go, and forget about them.

Being Visible and Brave

I feel like I'm pretty rad at this. I wear what I want, crop tops, short skirts, body con, and I wear it with pride and my head held high. I give no fucks as to what other people think about me. The people I love love me, and that's all I care about!

Dealing with Diet Talk

To be honest, I basically just ignore it. I report any diet ads that come up in my facebook feed as spam, I don't read any blogs or articles on the topic, and I don't engage with anyone who tries to talk to me about it. I'm not interested in it. I'm not interested in losing 10kgs in 10 days. So, I spend my time reading and talking about the things I am interested in.

Media Influence

Again, I just ignore it. I don't buy fashion magazines, I prefer to get my fix from body positive blogs, I don't read really read anything that might contain anything body shaming. I don't watch TV, so I don't have to deal with body shaming ads. And, if one happens to slip through, I usually find out who to contact and send them an email about how inappropriate their ad is. So far, I've only had 1 company reply and apologise, but hey, it makes me feel good!

So, seriously, just live your life they way you want to live it. No one has any say over you, your body or your actions but you! And to end, here are some awesome photos on me, doing what I want.

If you want to join in, read all about it here
