What I Wore - Birthday Girl

So, I told you all about my birthday adventures the other day. While we were driving to Freo, Jesse took me on a detour to a park that had dinosaurs in it!! I decided that some impromptu outfit shots were in order. The lighting is terrible, but hey, it's me, with dinosaurs!!

So, this is what I wore earlier in the day to go to Cervantes

A quick change of shoes, a jacket and my amazing new clutch, and I was ready to head in to Freo for a Stereoflower show

I know. Sometimes I am too cool for my own good!!

Jacket - City Chic (last season)
Top - New Look
Jeans - ASOS Curve (similar)
Shoes - Big W
Bag - Birthday present

Um...how cool is this bag? It's a freaking holographic unicorn. Coolest darn present (Thanks Nell!!)

So that's me, hanging with some dinosaurs. I have more pictures of me and dinosaurs coming up soon!!

Birthday Recap

That was another fun filled weekend! I'm sick now though :( Oh well, at least I have a quite week ahead of me to rest and recover. And I'll be back to normal programming on the blog too!!

So, Friday was my 30th birthday!! I had 3 days filled with fun.

On Friday we took a road trip to Cervantes to see the Pinnacles.

Our Convoy, and a Emu!!

On the drive I said that I wanted to see an Emu, and I did!!
It was a super fun road trip. I had never been before, so I really enjoyed it. Once we got back to Perth, we picked Kransky up from his sleep over, hot-footed it home to have some dinner, and the skipped back out to Freo to see Stereoflower play their first show in 6 months. It was awesome. I was so tired by the time we got home though!!

Saturday I worked in the morning, then my brother Alex, who is home from Melbourne, and I went to see Spider-Man 2. We headed in a bit early and played games at TimeZone till the film. The film was awesome, we both really enjoyed it.

Sunday I had a lunch date with the Perth Curvettes. We headed to an all you can eat buffet and Dusit Thai. It was amazing.

Alex made me this awesome card!

And they all bought me the dress I've been lusting after! I'm so so lucky!!
After lunch we decided to go do some cardio, and by cardio of course I mean shopping. I didn't end up buying anything, but that's ok, the girls all came away with some bargains.

But, it's all caught up with me, and now I'm not feeling so great, so I'm spending the day curled up on the couch watching zombie films.

Life Lately

Wowee!! That was one of the best weekends I've had in a really long time! I feel super loved and refreshed and happy :)

Friday we held a Birthday party for me and Jesse. Seeing as our birthdays are only 6 days apart, we figured it would be easiest to get both our families in one place to have a celebration. We held it at my parents house, and it was one of the most fun days ever.

I wore Hell Bunny Motley dress, and Kransky wore a bow tie

My Dad and Brother provided the entertainment

My Dad, Sister and I all pitched in to cook. I requested some of my favourite foods, and they were delivered!

I made pulled pork

Grace made ribs. omg

Dad made burgers

gotta have salad

And slaw

These chips. OMG these chips. I sprung them on dad at the last minute. He nailed it. Thrice cooked and amazing. There weren't enough. They lasted all of 30 seconds.

Brioche buns for the Pork and Burgers

Ice cream cake made by Grace. OMG so good!

My MIL made a hazelnut Gateau. This baby came home with me. So yum

I made a lemon tart. I did it differently than usual, and it didn't quite set. It was still tasty though

Saturday was Jesse's actual birthday. We did some shopping in the morning, hung out with Friends in the afternoon, then I took him to one of his favourite places for dinner. A whiskey bar call Varnish.

I wore Hell Bunny Flocked Tattoo dress

The birthday boy!

Corn Fries with Ale Gravy

Mac & Cheese with Speck and Bone Marrow

Ribs
It was a really lovely night!

Sunday was a lazy day. Jesse had to work, so I caught up on washing and house work!

Monday we caught up with Jesse family, and then met mine to go and watch The Grand Budapest Hotel, which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

See, great weekend! It's my birthday on Friday, so hopefully this coming weekend will be a blast too!

What I Wore - Inspiration Miranda Hobbes

I've got my second Sex and The City outfit for you today! And, I've been watching! I just finished season 3 yesterday. But, I don't think I'll have time to start season 4 until tomorrow, but I am really enjoying it so far!

This week I've chosen Miranda as my inspiration. I think she is my favourite character. Here is the inspiration

And here is my outfit. I had a lot of fun taking these shots!

I realised when taking these photos, that I have no black strappy sandals! Not that I probably need them till next summer now.

Skirt - ASOS Curve
Shoes - Target

This outfit was another easy one for me to recreate. I've got Samantha all lined up, but I'm still having trouble with Charlotte!

Don't forget to check out the hashtag on instagram for some other sex and the city inspired outfits!
