Aussie Curves - Bodycon

This weeks Aussie Curves theme is Bodycon. I have secretly been excited about this challenge. I have a few bodycon skirts, but always cover my vbo with a peplum top, or similar. But, I decided to use this as a chance to not do that.

I decided to wear my new favourite skirt from ASOS. It arrived a couple of weeks ago, and I've worn it quite a lot. It's so super comfortable, and can easily be dressed up or down.

For some reason, there was a heap of photo's I really liked from this shoot, so I decided to use them all! :)

Skirt - ASOS curve
Shoes - Op shop
Necklace - Kmart
Hair Clip - Etsy

I found this shoes at an Op shop a few weeks ago. I spied someone else trying them on, and she put them back. I hightailed it over to them, and they were my size, and only $5. I had to buy them.

I was turning when the camera went off, but I kinda like this photo

Things I Love Thursday

I am so excited that today is Thursday! I am so very much looking forward to my Easter break. I am taking the entire 4 days off! I'm planning to spend all day tomorrow in bed catching up on TV watching. I'm going to do some baking, and some cooking. Bliss! Oh, and hopefully eat lots of chocolate eggs :)

I love this pop art clutch!

Shoes that look like ice cream? Yes please!

Via Sole Struck

If only these Jeffry Campbell boots came in pink! I would be all over them. I love the red, but I just wouldn't wear them. I'm not a big red wearer.

New Look (Via ASOS)

The colour of these flatforms is just gorgeous.

I really dig this long sleeved Vampire t-shirt from Wildfox. They aren't plus size, but they are over sized, so maybe a large one would fit???

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys their Easter! :)

25 Things Fat People Shouldn't Do - Number 19, Fly in a Airplane

25 Things Fat People Shouldn't Do is an unabashed middle finger to the preposterous idea that any human who weighs more than the status quo does not deserve to live a full and well rounded (ahem) life. The list of 25 is composed word for word from direct lists of sheer assholery found on the internet. These range from the absurd to the profoundly shameful, and I will be disproving this offensive notion with style. Feel free to join in on the fun, and if you do, link at the bottom so I can share. May the Chub Club live long and prosper! - The Militant Baker

I couldn't let the fact that I was on an airplane pass without thinking about taking a picture for this post. So, I did. Well, Grace did.

So, this is me fat and flying. I didn't squish anyone sitting next to me, the plane didn't fall out of the sky, and I didn't harm anyone walking down the isle. So, suck it!

Fat Bitch eCourse Catch-up

I've been following along with Rachele of The Nearsighted Owl's Fat Bitch eCourse. This is basically about feeling confident about body acceptance, and being an awesome fat women. Which, I feel that I am. Plus, Rachele's was one of the first fat acceptance blogs I came across, and was hugely instrumental in helping my own acceptance. And she's totally rad.

This is a bit of a catch up of the last few weeks. It's basically a bunch of pictures of me looking awesome.

These are my new ASOS Skinny jeans, and I am in love with them.

I've got a bit of VBO happening here, and I'm not ashamed! This is also a new ASOS skirt. So comfortable!

I picked up this top in Sydney, I couldn't resist the flamingos!

Top - Mink Denim (From Myer)
Jeans - ASOS Curve

I sold a bunch of stuff of eBay a few weeks ago, and did a major ASOS haul. I have a swing dress and a denim jacket on the way as well.

This time last year, I would have never worn jeans or a skirt that tight, but now I'm all over bodycon. I'm wearing things I never would have even looked at. And I look good. And I feel good.

So, that's my catch up.

3 Good Things - Apple

This weeks 3 Good Things ingredient was apples! I decided to do the main this week, and Jesse took care of the dessert. I made apple and Gouda quesadillas. They were delicious!

Ingredients

8 flour tortillas
2 red apples, thinly sliced
250g Gouda, grated
2 spring onions, chopped
Dijon mustard

Method

Heat a griddle pan over medium high heat. Coat one side of a tortilla with olive oil (I use a spray olive oil) and place oil side down in your pan. Spread about a teaspoon of Dijon over the tortilla, top with onion, apple and then cheese, place a second tortilla on top, and spray the top of that with oil too. Cook until tortilla is starting to brown, and flip to cook the other side.

So easy, and so delicious! I used Gouda, but you could use any melting cheese you like. It would be equally as good with Cheddar or even a Fontina.

Then, Jesse brought out dessert. Baked apples with rum butter caramel. wowee!

We haven't decided on next week's ingredient yet, but we have some gatecrashers joining us, so we will have 3 different dishes! This will be fun :)

Sisters in Sydney for Springsteen - Part 2

You can read Part 1 here

So, when we left High Tea, we went back to the hotel to change and rest before the show.

We wandered down to the train station, where I effortlessly figured out what train we needed, and where we needed to change trains. Apart from a bit of a wait for the train to Olympic Park, it was fairly smooth.

Grace in her snazzy new outfit. I made her buy skinny jeans, she looks hot!

I even had 2 beers!
There was no support band, so Springsteen came on at 7.30pm, opening with American Land. It was amazing! He is amazing, the band is amazing.

They played, what I think, was a good mix of songs. Including Hungry Heart and Dancing in the dark (for which he got a 10 year old girl from the audience up on stage to sing with him!). He even played Born to Run. Awesome.

He crowd surfed, he walked through the audience. Unfortunately we were about 5 rows too far back, otherwise we would have been able to shake his hand.

All in all, it was one of the most enjoyable, energetic and fun concerts I've ever been too. I don't think anyone left disappointed.

We finally made it back to our hotel, after having to walk for half an hour uphill after discovering our train home was cancelled. By the end of the walk I was hobbling like an old woman.

We both got about 3 hours sleep before hopping our cab to the airport to bring us home. We were both sporting our new tour shirts (along with a good portion of people at the airport that morning)

We were exhausted and sore, but oh so happy. It was definitely worth it :)

If you haven't seen Springsteen, and you get the chance. Do it.
