What I Wore - Autograph Ponte Pencil Skirt

Apart from my crazy patterned skirts (Cowboy hunks, anyone??!) almost all my skirts are black. So, when I was in my local Autograph store looking for a skirt for this post, I had this one in my hand, and I was 99% sure I was going to buy it. In fact, I was on my way to pay for it, which I spotted something blue out of the corner of my eye. I didn't like it. I thought it would be too straight. I don't like straight skirts on me. I like them tight, or flouncy. But, I loved the colour, so off to the change room I went. Still thinking I would end up buying the black one. I proved myself wrong! I put the blue one on, and instantly loved it. I loved the shape, the way it sits, the fish tail hem. There is no way this skirt wasn't coming home with me.

I'm styling the skirt 2 ways today - a Day look and a Night look. This skirt is so versatile I can go from the office to the bar with barely any effort.

DAY

For this look I have paired the skirt with my favourite City Chic singlet, a belt and my clear glitter jellies. I would wear this to work, out shopping, or even a lunch date.

Jellies - Jelly Beans

NIGHT

For night, I threw on a lacey top, a statement necklace and some heels, and I'm good to go! I love that the blue adds a pop of colour without being too over the top, and I just love what this skirt does to my behind!

  1. That colour is fab on you! I also love the cut. Loo 1 is my fave, but I am partial to stripes and black and white over solids and solids lol.
